It is now widely known that during the build-up of political campaigns before the 2016 USA Presidential Election, Cambridge Analytica devised a plan, (using stolen social media data), to psychologically profile the entire USA voting population. This initiative was the result of the use of Social Media data, statistical clustering, and micro-targeting by the Obama campaign during the 2016 USA Presidential Election.
The Donald Trump campaign's use of psychological profiling brought up many concerns about manipulation of entire national populations by possibly unethical forces, like Cambridge Analytica turned out to be.
However, is it possible that during the 2016 USA Presidential Election an opposite Big Data political-psychological operation existed, that was opposite of the Trump Campaign's Cambridge Analytica / Project Alamo operation?
At first you would consider whether the Hillary Clinton campaign might have used the same tactics as the Trump Campaign, albeit without an unethical reliance on stolen data. Geo-location with Tableau to find urban populations of Hispanics aside, the Clinton campaign is not describeable exactly as an equal and opposite force to the Trump Campaign's nationalistic, anal fixation psychological programming of the population effort.
Instead, what was actually the opposite of the Trump campaign's fascist mass psychological control of the population, was Bernie Sanders' heavily funded effort at Socialist "Political Revolution". The Donald Trump campaign was characterized by a new revival of ancient fearful psychology. The Bernie Sanders campaign was characterized by the direct opposite, a new discovery of a positive Socialist appreciation of the value of human beings, rather than fearful death wish fetishism of inhumane commodities, (the Trump campaign).
Therefore, questions that still need to be explored are:
1) Whether the divergence of extreme politics in the 2016 USA Presidential Election was the result of new capabilities of mass psychological profiling, and social media lifestyle marketing.
2) Will this polarization of politics continue?
3) What is the most likely outcome of the 2016 USA Presidential Election's polarization, combined with mass psychological profiling capabilities?
4) Will the new era of distributed application cryptocurrency lead to political campaigns having budgets exceeding the yearly government budgets of most of the world's countries?
If anyone can help with the analysis of the dichotomy described above, please post your comments to this blog. Thank you very much!
